Welcome to Annapolis, Maryland!
What is it Really Like to Cruise America's Great Loop?
The Crowne Plaza Hotel Annapolis
Event Facility

We're so excited to be holding this event in Annapolis! Known as The Sailing Capital of the U.S., Annapolis loves boaters! If you're in the market for a Loop boat - or any kind of boat, for that matter - there is no better place to walk along the docks. You'll see everything from small fishing boats to luxury yachts. Make sure you take a walk to the City Dock and visit what is affectionately called "Ego Alley" to see some beautiful high-end boats.

From the docks, it's a short walk to shopping, art galleries, historic sights, pubs and restaurants. Take a guided tour of the United States Naval Academy or visit the Annapolis Maritime Museum.

Check out Lights on the Bay. From 5:00-10:00 p.m. beginning Saturday, November 17, start your holiday season with a drive through 60+ holiday light displays at Sandy Point State Park. Admission is by the carload, so pack up some of your new Looper friends and keep the famous Looper camaraderie going strong!

If you love beautiful architecture, make sure you visit St. Mary’s Parish on Sunday morning. This lovely church, built in the 1800s, has intricate details carved in the woodwork behind the altar and tall, delicately curving arches leading to a ceiling painted blue to look like the night sky, complete with the moon and stars. Pictures aren’t going to do this church justice ~ you’ll want to take a step inside and see it for yourself.

If you or your spouse have asked yourselves any of these questions, this seminar is for you!

  • How much time and money will it take?
  • What kind of boat do I need?
  • Is it safe?
  • How will I know what to do in an emergency?
  • What can I expect to see on the Loop?
  • How do I leave my home/family for that long?
  • Will my spouse & I still like each other afterwards?

Get the answers to these questions and so much more! You'll hear from industry professionals as well as Gold Loopers (members who have completed the Loop). Feel free to introduce yourself during breaks and meals ~ and ask questions.

Registration for this event is $139 per person. Your registration includes a reception on Friday and lunch on Saturday. Each registrant will also receive a one-year AGLCA membership (or membership extention).

We've arranged a discounted room rate at the hotel ~ The Crowne Plaza Hotel is holding a block of rooms at a rate of $160/night.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel offers free parking and WiFi, but they do not provide free shuttle service or continental breakfast. There is a restaurant on-site: Annapolis Bar & Grill providing breakfast, lunch and dinner service.

After the seminar ends on Saturday, join us for an informal gathering at The Greene Turtle (walking distance from Crowne Plaza) for docktails. Stay tuned for additional details!
